Bill James

Evangelist

It was the dream of Bill’s life to be a Police Officer.  He pursued that dream

by joining the Marines at age 19.  After four years in the Marine Corp and

serving as a Military Police Officer, he was hired by the Riverside County

Sheriff’s office in Riverside, California.  He spent 10 years with that

department and then moved to Oregon where he was later employed by the

Washington County Sheriff’s Office for 3 years.

During his law enforcement career, he specialized in narcotics.  He was

assigned to various task forces, where he worked with the DEA, FBI, and

other state and local agencies.   He has investigated thousands of drug

cases, including over 200 methamphetamine labs, and has made hundreds

of arrests.  He is considered a narcotics expert, and has been qualified as an

expert witness by the State of California, State of Oregon, and the US Attorneys Office.

But what things were gain to me, these I have counted loss for Christ.  Philippians 3:7

TESTIMONY

For five years, Bill led a secret life.  By day he was a narcotics officer, family guy, and Sunday school teacher at his church.  By night he was sneaking around doing drugs, drinking alcohol and involved in pornography.  Each time he indulged in his demons, his hidden burden grew heavier.  Eventually, the weight of sin became so immense, he could no longer function.  Deep in his heart Bill knew that the only answer to his problems was to cry out to Jesus.  When he did, God spoke to his heart saying that if he confessed his sins and turned away from them, he would be set free.

Finally, despite the probability of losing his family, friends, job, reputation and worldly possessions; Bill obeyed the Lord and confessed everything to his wife, his pastors, the Sheriff and the criminal

investigators who were assigned to investigate him.  Bill witnessed God’s miraculous hand as the LORD proved Himself faithful and poured out His love, grace, mercy, and forgiveness upon him.

He was FREE!

Through God’s leading, Bill was directed to Teen Challenge (a faith based residential program) where he spent one year studying God’s Word and developing a personal relationship with his

Savior.  During that year, God gave Bill a new life in Christ, restored his family, and directed him to study the Bible further at Teen Challenge’s Ministry Institute.  Since then, Bill has dedicated his life to serving the Lord.  He has been called by God to share the good news of Jesus through the

Ministry of Agents for Christ.  The desire of this ministry is to reach the poor, the brokenhearted, and those imprisoned and weighed down by their sin; especially the youth of America.
